Supra/ODP Awarded New University-wide Contracted Agreement
We are excited to announce that Supra Office Solutions and ODP Business Solutions have been awarded a new five-year University-wide Contracted Supplier agreement effective July 1, 2024. Supra is a Pennsylvania-based, Black-owned firm that provides a wide range of office products and services, and ODP Business Solutions was previously known as Office Depot.
While Supra and ODP have been the University-wide Contracted Suppliers for office supplies for Pitt since 2013, this new agreement is the result of a first-of-its-kind joint competitive solicitation issued by the University of Pittsburgh, The Pennsylvania State University, and Temple University. Additionally, this new agreement will provide Pitt with an estimated savings of $1.6 million for office supplies over the term of 5 years.Supra and ODP Business solutions were awarded this agreement based on a variety of existing and enhanced benefits to the University, including
- Combined best overall value to each of the three state-related schools, including a price reduction for several items such as the Aspen 30% recycled paper and Boise X-9 multi-use printer and copy paper.
- Support for the University’s goals to increase spending with diverse businesses as part of the Plan for Pitt. Supra is a Pennsylvania-based supplier as well as a Diverse Business Enterprise designated as Black-owned. By purchasing under this University-wide Contracted Supplier agreement, departments can contribute to University goals.
- Quick delivery, a favorable return policy, and an easy return process. Next-day delivery for most items, except special-order items or those that ship directly from the manufacturer.
- Excellent customer service with dedicated representatives for each university Additionally, Supra and ODP are contractually required to use their best efforts to meet or beat competitors’ pricing on exact match items.
- Wide variety of office supply products in their punch-out catalog, totaling over 1,400 items. Additionally, their punchout catalog integrates with the PantherExpress System for a user-friendly and streamlined purchasing process.
- Multiple supplier-led sustainability programs to support the University’s sustainability goals, such as: the Green Tote program, K-Cup Recycling program, and the ink and toner recycling program. Visit the Supplier-led Sustainability Programs page for more information.

As a reminder, University Policy AO 30 requires the use of University-wide contracted suppliers, when available, for the product being purchased.
